Yes. Temporary work is often a gateway to direct employment by the user company.
It depends on the reason:
– Replacement of an absent worker: until their return;
– Exceptional increase in activity: up to 12 months (extendable);
– Other causes provided for by law (see art. 140.º and following of the Labor Code).
Temporary workers are entitled to:
– Equal treatment in relation to workers at the user company;
– Equivalent remuneration for equal work or work of equal value;
– Mandatory subsidies and insurance;
– Adequate training for the job to be performed.
The ETT, in this case TalentShift, is the legal employer of the temporary worker and is responsible for fulfilling contractual, salary, and contribution obligations.
It is a type of work provided in the Labor Code, in which a temporary work agency (ETT) enters an employment contract with the worker and places them at the service of a user company for a limited period.
